Kiddy City ‘n’ Move Stroller Review

Since September Beanie Boy has had a new mode of transport in the form of the Kiddy City ‘n’ Move Stroller.  As a general rule I am not a big fan of umbrella strollers, I find they are more functional than fashionable and for the most part quite flimsy but the City ‘n’ Move is one of the sturdiest strollers I have had the opportunity to use.

Building the stroller was really easy and took about 20 minutes from start to finish (with the help of Beanie Boy!!).  The wheels clicked into place easily, then to open the stroller I just had to undo the clip on the side of the chassis.  All that was left to do was to attach the hood which was probably the most fiddly part of construction.  There were a number of clips and poppers to tackle but once they were done the stroller was ready to hit the road.

Probably my most favourite feature of the City ‘n’ Move is the large hood which pulls all the way down to the bumper bar to keep your little one protected from sunshine and bright light when sleeping.  There is also a ‘peekaboo’ panel so that you can look on them without disturbing them.  The seat has a leg extension to keep your child comfortable with their legs up rather than dangling down.  The bumper bar can be lifted up rather than removed when putting children in or taking them out of the stroller.  The other feature that I really like is the height of the stroller – both Hubby and I are quite tall (over 5’8”) and with the City ‘n’ Move we don’t need to stoop to push it as we have with other strollers.

There are only two things that I don’t particularly like about this stroller, the first is the cross bars which sit above the shopping basket, they really get in the way and render the basket pretty useless and the second is the issue I have with all umbrella strollers – they don’t fold up particularly small and has to sit diagonally across my car boot which makes it awkward for putting other items in the boot too.

This is actually Hubby’s favourite stroller ever, he thinks it looks masculine and he likes how stable it feels and has sneakily kept this in his car as ‘his’ stroller!

The Kiddy City n Move stroller is suitable for use from 6 months and can be bought from all good pushchair retailers.
