Why?

Why? Why do I have to have breakfast Mummy?

Why are you having a cup of tea Mummy?

Why are we going out today Mummy?

Why are we going this way Mummy?

Why aren’t we going that way Mummy?

Why do you like chocolate Mummy?

Why are you singing Mummy?

Why are you wearing your sunglasses Mummy?

Why did you wave at that lady Mummy?

Why are we going to Tescos Mummy?

Why do we need milk Mummy?

Why are you pushing the trolley Mummy?

Why is that cloud so big Mummy?

Why is it raining Mummy?

Why do I have to go to bed now Mummy?

Why, why, why . . . . . . ?

Yes – we’ve reached that age!!!

All depends how much patience I have! I also get told off if I don’t know the answer! x

LOL, little monkeys are so cheeky aren’t they x

  2. The “why” stage has also signalled a change for me personally. Because I’ve realised that despite vehemently saying I wouldn’t do it, I find myself repeating phrases my mum used to say to me and my brother. And I’m going to do it even more as they get older. And there’s nothing I can do about it!!! It’s not all bad, but I wish I could be more original in my responses sometimes!! Made me smile to see your experiences of it too :))

I cringe every time I hear myself repeating things my Mum used to say to me when I was little but it really is impossible not to 🙂

Oh yes, I just love it – not!?! We’ve also had the “pardon” stage. You know the one, when they say “pardon” to near enough everything you say, when in fact C has actually heard everything I’ve said!!

I’ve learnt now to not repeat myself every time he says “pardon”, and if he did actually hear, he doesn’t say “pardon” again! It has stopped me from going insane!!!!!!!!!!!!

We haven’t had that one yet, she’s not that polite!!!! But I will be mindful of it if she ever starts on that line 🙂
