I have now been doing the Jenny Craig diet for almost 6 weeks. I’m still enjoying most of the foods and I’m definitely not feeling as hungry as I was in the beginning so my stomach must have shrunk, which is a good thing. The first 4 weeks went really well and I was only 4.8lbs off my target weight but then I seemed to hit a wall and my weight didn’t budge. After the initial weight loss I found this really hard to get my head around and I felt like i had failed in some way. I’d had a few events where I couldn’t eat my Jenny Craig foods but I felt that I had chosen my replacement meals wisely. When I spoke to Alex my Consultant, he was really positive and lifted my spirits again, I hadn’t put weight on so that in itself was a good thing and I couldn’t keep on losing in the manner that I had so now my weight would begin to come off slowly.
He was right, the following week I had lost nearly 1lb, so still a movement in the right direction and the closer I am getting to my goal the more determined I have become to reach it. This week I dug out my old trainers and am going to start running each night, perhaps not very far but I feel that I want to tone up what I have left and make the best of myself. The summer is coming and I want to feel good in my skin again, I would like to feel confident in clothes and maybe even find myself some new clothes to show off the new me!
